This may not be very helpful to you, but, I have a lot of favorite teas from the Portal Tea Company and this is yet another one! I guess the best way to say it is that each one has its own occasion. Since this one has caffeine, I drink it in the first half of the day. All seven ingredients contribute toward the perfection of this chai blend, but the chocolate, cinnamon, chipotle and nutmeg make it stand out as an amazing tea. As the old TV commercial goes, "try it, you'll like it"!
If you aren't a fan of hot spice, this is not your tea. It definitely has a bit of an afterburn. Personally, I love the balance of the spicy chipotle and dark chocolate, and I appreciate that there's no sugar in the mix, so I can get my chocolate fix sweetened my way (a bit of raw honey). I use oat milk for my latte, and it's perfect.
This is one of my favorite teas. I’ve been buying it for YEARS. It is spicy, warming, and so decadent. I live chai but this one in particular is extra incredible.
Every weekend we make a pot, 1:1 hot water and milk or oatmilk… and it’s amazing. Like hot chocolate’s mature cousin with a kick.
