It’s been used for centuries as a spiritual tool, a social ritual, and medicine, though now it’s consumed because Yerba Maté No. 44 is delicious. Yerba Maté No. 44 tastes incredibly earthy, with herbaceous, slightly vegetal notes towards the end. Traditionally drank out of a hollowed out gourd and bombilla (metal filtered straw), the flavor of mate can also be enjoyed with a simple 5 minute steep.
